When one thinks of construction they often think of the archaic methods of project management involving copious amounts of paperwork and companies that will be slow to move toward time-saving technologies that could overhaul efficiency. You may be surprised to learn that is not the case. According to a Construction Executive article written by Dan Conery, the construction industry has become “tech-forward” thanks to tablet and smart-phone advances combined with project and wage management software. This has created a cultural shift where “Instead of capturing information for the purpose of winning arguments that will arise in the future, companies are managing information to prevent conflicts in the first place.” Technology and software advances have allowed companies to become better organized and catch mistakes before they are made.
