We also received an extra question that wasn’t covered in this month’s live series:
Question
For new Green Occupations that have been assigned an O’NET SOC Code but are not yet included in the SAM.gov Wage Determination, how would we determine the wage rate for a federally funded project? For example, what would I pay someone classified as a Solar Photovoltaic Installer (O’NET-SOC Code 47-2231.00)? What would their Davis-Bacon wage rate be if one of these installers was working in Allen County, Indiana?
Answer: Good question. In my experience, solar projects usually go with “heavy” wage determinations. For Allen County, Indiana, that’s IN20250006. I would just like to point out, however, that if you find any job classifications missing from this wage determination, you’ll need to submit a conformance request using an SF-1444 form.
